Acorn-Leaf Garland

Ready to string up some fall charm? If you've crafted your painted leaves and acorns from our Acorn & Leaf Paper Craft templates (grab them if you haven't!), you're all set to transform them into a whimsical garland. Use any/all the leaves from the set, or stick with oak leaves for a classic acorn-oak look.

Optional: Create acorn-leaf clusters (shown below) for extra dimension. This beginner-friendly project adds instant cozy to mantels, tables, or doorways.

    • Your finished painted/colored leaves and acorns from the Acorn-Leaf templates tutorial
    • Yarn or twine
    • Floral wire (22-24 gauge, about 5 inches per loop)
    • Pen or dowel (for shaping loops)
    • Wire cutters (or scissors for thin wire)
    • Masking tape
    • Glue (optional)

Note: For a garland visible front and back, double up with a "leaf sandwich" (an identical leaf that you'll paste over the tape/wire in Step 4). To save time, the back leaves can simply be the same size and paper color as the front — no need to paint a full second set.
